How do I book accomodation?The conference will be held at the Barwon Heads Resort at 13th Beach. If you would like to stay you need to contact and arrange bookings individually. Tell them you are with the DP/S Principal Network for a discounted rate of $299 (1 bedroom apartment) or $399 (2 bedroom apartment). Contact them by email at info@barwonheadsresort.com.au or call (03) 5254 1777. Accommodation is optional and not included in the ticket price.

Who can attended the network conference?The conference is designed for School Principals and Assistant Principals (substantive and acting) in the Deer Park/Sunshine Network.

What are the details for the Network dinner?The network dinner will commence with pre-dinner drinks from 6:00pm. At 6:30, food service will begin as guests are seated. The Geelong Comedy Club will provide dinner entertainment for 90 minutes before space is made and dance floor is open.

Is attendance mandatory?Although not explicitly mandatory, it is expected that school leaders within our network will prioritise this exceptional learning and networking opportuntiy.

Adam Voigt
CEO of Real Schools

Sarah Richardson
Program Director, Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO)
Sarah's experience as a project director at AERO places as one of the most influential educationalists in Australia having led the development of critical resources available to all schools in effective school and classroom management. Sarah and her team published the discussion article in 2023 "Effectively managing classrooms to create safe and supportive learning environments" had many school leaders pause to reflect on the systems and structures in place at their schools to have an IMPACT on learning. Since then, Sarah has continued leading a body of work with AERO in the "Engaged classrooms through effective classroom management" series and a suite of further resources to be published in 2025.
Sean Box
Director of Teaching & Learning Excellence, Department of Education
As Director of Curriculum and Learning for the Department of Education, Sean has worked closely with key figureheads in the implementation of the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0. Through his deep understanding of the Cognitive Load Theory, Sean will explore what the science knows about how we learn and will discuss his insights and experiences of how schools within our system are using this new learning to Maximise IMPACT on every student's learning.
